Biography:
Holly is a New Hampshire native, born in Nashua and raised in Sandown. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in 1996 and her law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2000. She was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 2000 and to the Massachusetts Bar in 2001. During law school, Holly served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Norman Stahl at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. For her first two years after law school, Holly served as a law clerk to the justices of the New Hampshire Superior Court. Most recently, Holly served as a law clerk to the Hon. Joseph P. Nadeau at the New Hampshire Supreme Court, before joining Abramson, Brown and Dugan in 2003.
Holly is an active, sustaining member of the New Hampshire Association for Justice formerly known as the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and has attended several national conventions and served on several committees. Holly is also very active in the American Bar Association, serving on the Young Lawyer’s Division Litigation and Health Law Committees and she was selected for the ABA Commission on Women - Women in Law Leadership Academy, which she attended in Chicago, IL in March 2006. Holly annually attends the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations’ Leadership Summits, as one of the representatives of the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association.
Holly is currently serving on the ABA Health Law section’s Breast Cancer advisory taskforce. In the New Hampshire Bar Association, she has served on the Editorial Boards of the New Hampshire Bar Journal and the New Hampshire Bar News since 2004, and she has served as Chairperson of the New Hampshire Bar News Editorial Board since 2006. Holly is a sustaining member of the New Hampshire Women's Bar Association, serving on the Board of Directors since 2006 as the Public Relations Officer, and she is the editor of the association’s monthly newsletter. In 2008 and 2009, Holly was named a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers Magazine. Holly is also active in her community as a member of the Southern New Hampshire Women’s Business Network, the Manchester Young Professionals Network, and the Manchester Bar Association.
Holly has co-authored several journal articles addressing various areas of NH law including, Medical Provider Liability to Non-Patient Third-Parties for Negligent Medical Care and Prescribing Practices 31 TBN 9 (Winter 2009); Medical Malpractice Liability in the Information Age - the Evolution of the Physician-Patient Relationship on the New Healthcare Frontier 30 TBN 117 (Summer 2008); Using the Internet Effectively In Medical Malpractice Cases 29 TBN 121 (Summer 2007); and Screening Panels for Medical Injury Claims Under RSA 519-B: Implementation, Effect, and Issues on the Horizon 48 NHBJ 1 (Spring 2007). Holly has also authored several columns and articles, including the New Hampshire Supreme Court At-A-Glance Column, 16 NHBN 7, pg 22 (September 2005); New Hampshire Women’s Bar at ABA Event 16 NHBN 21, pg 12 (May 2006); McDonalds Corporation, Shell Oil Corporation, and the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association NHWBA Newsletter (Spring 2006); Book Review: Anatomy for Litigators By Samuel D. Hodge NHBN (April 2007). Holly is the editor of and a regular contributor to the New Hampshire Women's Bar Association’s monthly electronic newsletter.
Holly has presented or been a faculty member at several continuing education seminars, including: the 3rd Annual New Hampshire Practice Series CLE (Pierce Law Center, 2008); Handling Medical Negligence Claims (National Business Institute, 2007);Tackling Advanced Medical Malpractice Issues (The National Business Institute, 2007); Preparing a Civil Case for A Successful Outcome (Paralegal Association of New Hampshire, 2006, 23rd Annual Meeting); and Developments and Issues in Medical Malpractice (Merrimack Valley Christian Academy, 2005). Holly has also spoken on numerous panels to law students at Franklin Pierce Law Center regarding career services issues, mentoring and litigation and she regularly acts as a judge during student moot court competitions at the Law Center.
Holly's nine years of practicing law have been devoted to representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
