This was a medical negligence/products liability case arising from the death of a sixty-three year old woman who was undergoing a routine cardiac catheterization.  The plaintiffs alleged that the medical care provider defendants negligently injected air into the decedent’s heart after neglecting to load dye into the injection equipment.  The plaintiffs also alleged that the injection equipment was defectively designed.

The decedent was pronounced dead after nearly thirty minutes of resuscitation efforts.  She left a husband of forty-two years, two adult sons, and two grandsons.
